Using Ning as Conference Networking Sites
Using Groups in Ning
Does anyone have any comments on the usefulness or lack of usefulness of Groups in a Ning conference website? It seems like a group is somewhat similar to a forum discussion around a specific conference session, and that it might get confusing to the participant.
Also, any recommendations on whether or not to allow members to build their own groups or to prevent that? I'm concerned about vendors starting groups or even worse pornographic material or dating groups getting added. I know they can be monitored and removed, but I'm just weighing the tradeoff.
